Raised Panel IllustrationCut your panel to finish size. If your rails and stiles are 2-1/4" wide, the panel should be about 3-7/8" narrower and 3-3/4" shorter than the finished door dimensions. Set up your panel-raising bit as shown. The tongue of the finished panel should slip easily into the groove you made in Cut #1 of the Rail & Stile instructions. Don't make your panel so tight you must force it into the groove, and never glue your panels into the frame. A few words of caution: Take Your Time! These bits can remove a great deal of stock in a single pass, but it's neither safe nor productive to push them to the limit. Make several passes, cutting a little deeper each time. Besides the obvious safety factor, you'll produce much better panels!

This bit is to be used in a router table with fence only!
